Aftermath
Snowflakes, falling through the shattered window,
Settling into the room.
On the walls, the tapestry is fading
In the light of the moon.
Images, of yesterdays heroes, hanging on the wall.
Their shattered hopes and dreams, forgotten now,
We fight another war, forever more.
As the snowflakes, settling in my footsteps,
I must find a new home.
The hopes and dreams to which his rooms gave shelter
Echo in the cold stones.
But I, Ill be looking forever,
for your face in the crowds
And as I search this land forever,
I am lost until youre found,
I hear the sound,
of your voice within these walls
as I stare into the gloom,-
And as my tears are settling in the snow
A new hope fills this room
Ill find you soon.
